Only one key fob?

Our dealer told us that there's a shortage of key fobs. Has anyone else heard that? They're supposed to be getting more shipped at a later date but no ETA on that. Is this because of the chip shortage? And has anyone else bought a Toyota Crown and got their key fob at a later date?

Still waiting on mine and I have a feeling it's going to be a few months. I never asked because I'm the only one driving my car, but I'll guess it has something to do with the chip shortage.
 
Same here. Been waiting almost 6 months now. Strange times we're living in.
 
Bought crown the last of august. I as told then, I would receive the other key after new year.

I bought my 2023 Toyota Crown and was told by my salesman it would be a month. I finally got it 5 months later. It did not come with the key insert so there is no way to attach it to your key ring. If you lose the original fob, there goes the key insert also. The key insert (which unlocks the car door manually) is not that important except for this feature to accept a key ring. I am searching for a blank!

Toyota really botched this up. Didn't they? What did they say about the key insert? Is it ever coming?
 
Bought crown In august, received key fob two weeks ago. We still have to make appointments with Toyota dealer to get fob programmed. I finally got action by continuing calling Toyota customer service.
