Odd vibration or chatter when taking off and stopping

Is anyone else experiencing what I can only describe as a vibration or a chatter when initially taking off or coming to a stop? I think it might be the transmission.

I'm experiencing a harmonic vibration leaking at 42-48 mph, and at 72-78 mph. The dealer confirmed my findings, took another Crown from their lot. We found the same behaviour. Hmmm

Well that figures. Are they thinking it's just a characteristic of the vehicle or something that can and will be repaired?
