Regenerative charging is loud in my Crown. Anyone else?

When going down hill it seems the regenerative system is pretty loud. Is this normal? My previous car was a Toyota Prius and I don't remember it ever being this loud. It's not terrible or anything, just louder than I expected. I figure the Crown is the Avalon replacement and my brother-in-law's Avalon is pretty luxurious and I figure Toyota is going after the Avalon customer.

Yes, it's a bit louder than I expected going downhill. I find it comes on out of nowhere as well. I'll ask about it next time I go in for scheduled service.
